A Letter From Don Winston

May 14, 2008

Hello to all,

My name is Doneareum (Don) Winston. I was in foster care and a ward of the state for thirteen years of my life. Along my journey, I stopped by a place known as the Parris Home. At the time it was a shelter for temporary placement until a home was found. I would always stay for months as opposed to weeks. I realize today that it was because the place was so comfortable and homelike.

I look back at where I came from and I am thankful for Parris Home for taking care of me and giving me hope. This is a place where kids are shown real parental love and given all the help and support in the world. Foster homes are scarce and group homes like Parris are all many children have.

Now the actual home needs help in order to continue doing what it does best. I ask that you please find it in your heart in this time of economic hardships to help as best you can with a donation to keep this wonderful place up and running.

Sincerely,

Doneareum S. Winston
